Feeds
Joe Macro reads public RSS feeds that publishers and agencies (the Federal Reserve, the SEC) provide for syndication, plus the public feeds of the top-ranked finance newsletters on Substack's paid leaderboard.
Updates every 15 minutes
The site is rebuilt automatically about every 15 minutes. If a feed is briefly unavailable, we keep showing its most recent headlines for up to six hours; after that its card is hidden until the feed returns. Feeds that haven't published anything in 30 days are dropped.
Trending
Trending groups headlines from different outlets about the same story, based on shared names and keywords in the titles, and ranks them by how many outlets are covering it. The one-line summary is taken from the publishers' own feed descriptions; no AI writes it.
Labels
JUST IN means published in the last 30 minutes and NEW in the last 3 hours. FED, EARNINGS, IPO, M&A, CRYPTO and AI are added automatically from words in the headline, so they can occasionally be wrong. Tap any label, or use the filter bar, to show only those headlines.
Paywall badges
Each outlet was checked by sampling recent articles for paywall signals (structured data such as isAccessibleForFree, subscription-wall markup, truncated article bodies) and known subscription models. Substack posts are checked individually: a post open to everyone is Free, a subscriber-only post is Paid.
Removal requests
Publishers can ask us to remove or correct a feed, a headline or a summary at any time. See Contact.
